Fall is one of the most beautiful seasons here in Ontario and a favourite for many because it is the season of harvest and Thanksgiving. Like many, you are likely excited to enjoy the scenery around Georgian Bay and the surrounding communities by hiking, biking, and collecting the local bounty from gardens and local producers.
As you enjoy this fleeting but magical season, take a minute to review our office hours for the upcoming Thanksgiving weekend. We’ve also included some tips for enjoying this season in our area, some staff tips, and a couple of articles we think you’ll find interesting.
Thanksgiving Office Hours
Please note that we will be closed on both Friday, October 7th and on Monday, 10 October. We would be happy to help with your meeting requests and answer inquiries during our business hours ahead of and after the long weekend. We will monitor voicemail on Friday as the markets are open, so if something is urgent, leave us a message and we will return your call as quickly as possible.

Autumn Fun for ALL Ages
Sweater weather abounds, so make sure you take in some of the best our area has to offer. There’s so much to see and do in the area this time of year, and with the apple harvest in full swing, as well as many seasonal farms open for picking, wagon rides, cider pressing, and more, there’s something fun to do for all ages. Here are some of our top seasonal activities to try out this year:
- Scandinave – Blue Mountains—This spa is a local favourite, and if you’ve lived in the area for a little while, you’re probably already familiar with their incredible services. That being said, fall is a great time to pay a visit because it’s typically less crowded and you can take in the autumn scenery.

Quarterly & Annual Statements Update
We have been receiving feedback from our clients recently confirming what they should expect by mail from PEAK. Please note that we cannot control the compliance mailings that come through PEAK and/or individual fund companies. PEAK Statements are now sent quarterly, so you should receive notification if you requested electronic delivery on or about the third week following the end of the quarter the statement is available. If you switch your preferences to electronic statements with PEAK, you can reduce the amount of paper in the mail. You may find this advantageous if the volume of mail is your main concern, and you support environmental concerns. Paper statements will be sent on or about the third week following the end of the quarter.
Please let us know if you are not sure how your statements are scheduled to be sent to you according to set preferences with PEAK. We can update your preference to suit your needs as required.
